Healthy Packed Lunches

Staying Healthy

As part of our PSED (Personal, Social and Emotional Development) children are learning about how to life a healthy lifestyle. the curriculum requires they learn:

'To manage their own basic hygiene and personal needs, including; dressing, going to the toilet and understanding  the importmance of healthy food choices'.

To support this in school we regularly teach the importance of a healthy diet, which foods are healthy or unhealthy and often tasting new foods.

We encourage children to have a school dinner, fruit snacks and to drink plenty of water.

If you wish your child to have a packed lunch, it must be healthy and contain minimal processed snacks.

The NHS  has advice and information on making healthy packed lunches.
