Year 6 Leavers Prom

13 March 2019 (by admin)

It is the Year 6 Prom (leaving party) on 16th July from 4:00-6:15pm

Every year this gives the children a chance to dress up and enjoy a final party together as a year group before they leave for high school.

As with previous years, we expect that children will have a fantastic evening. We have booked a DJ, will take high-quality photographs, and have food and drink and other surprises to make the evening truly memorable. With this said, all Year 6 children are expected to attend; this is not an optional evening.

All children need to be collected from the school office at 12:00pm promptly, after their early dinner, so that they will have enough time to get ready for the prom. We will keep them in class but as soon as you arrive at the office, they will be sent to you. Please be patient during this time as we need to get all children sent home safely. If you would like your child to make their own way home at 12:00pm, you must sign the form below.

Dress Code

As this is a special occasion, the dress code for the evening is smart. If your child has special clothes that they wear to parties or weddings (for example), these would be perfect. Please note that we do not expect parents to buy new outfits but would like all children to be looking their smartest (no tracksuits etc)!

As there will be lots of food and drink (and other surprises) and the school is paying for the majority of the evening, we are asking for a contribution of £2 per child towards the evening. If you could please give this to the class teacher as soon as possible, that would be greatly appreciated.

Who is invited?

This prom is for Year 6 children only, please do not bring any brothers or sisters along as it is your Year 6 child’s special evening. That said, children may bring one responsible adult to enjoy the evening with them if they wish. The £2 cost includes any adults; there is no extra charge here. Should any of the above be a problem, or if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you for your support. We look forward to the celebrations!

Miss Halliwell                                                                                     Mr Graham
