Breakfast Club

16 March 2017 (by admin)

You are all aware of the new Breakfast Club arrangements to continue to improve the quality of our breakfast club and to ensure Health and Safety requirements are met. However, some Year 1 and Year 2 children are being left by Parents after 8.30 a.m. in the junior playground in the school.

Breakfast Club closes strictly at 8.30 a.m.  Only children who are actually in breakfast club have the choice to join Wakey Shakey or go into the junior playground. NO KS1 child is to be in the playground between 8.30 – 8.50 a.m. unless a Parent remains with the child for that time.

Parents will be contacted and asked to return to school immediately if a KS1 pupil is left unsupervised as this is a safeguarding concern.

Under NO circumstances are Reception / Year 1 / Year 2 children to be left with older siblings to go to breakfast club.  Parents MUST take them to breakfast club and hand them over to staff.

Please do not come and leave via the car part as this is a serious health and safety issue.

Please not breakfast club is a voluntary provision by the school and staff give of their time freely and its aim is to enable pupils to participate in breakfast and Wakey Shakey experience to enable a pleasant and productive start to the school day.  It is not a childcare facility, opening and closing times are at the discretion of the school.

We appreciate your co-operation in helping to keep your children safe.

Yours faithfully

Mrs S Ishaq
