On 1st February we celebrated Science at school by having a Science day. The children were given opportunities to experience lots of 'hands on' Science experiments and were lucky enough to be able to enjoy Science Workshops. The children learned about Biology, Physic and Chemistry.
They had particularly enjoyed the talks and hair raising workshops. We had arranged an external scientist who had come and carried out demonstrations whilst also involving the children through hands on investigations and enquiries.
We had Manchester University here working alongside our KS2 doing a Solid, Liquid and Gases experiment. Different things being frozen in liquid nitrogen, experiments involving dry ice and mostly excitingly a range of explosions! The children were able to answer a range of tricky questions and displayed their love for science.
We had Mad Science doing a range of workshops with the children in KS1. They were able to carry out some investigations whilst doing this they were talking about the science behind each investigation. Finally I wish to send a huge thank you to all of the teachers.
Children were doing experiment for their Forces investigations.
